Blink and you'll miss it! On Thursday, the windows came in a truck, and were stacked neatly in the downstairs rooms. On Friday, the team screwed them in, one-by-one, each fitting exactly in its preconstructed opening. By the end of the day, all the windows and sliding doors, save one, were in. It's hard to describe the feeling of luxury these windows afforded. Windows is more than the metal and glass objects--it's a metaphor for seeing the world (as Microsoft understood). We selected a special glass that transmits no IR (heat) and no UV (which causes sunburn). The only problem with these windows is that indoor plants will require grow lights! |
