| Trusses are simply magic. They appear on your doorstep, and they are complex, strong, and precise assemblies that fit exactly into their reserved places. A few nails, and it's an articulated geodesic space structure. By the way, Clyde and I calculated that they would use perhaps a quarter million nails in thie house. The thermal-barrier particle board roof was nothing short of miraculous--once in place, the entire house below was probably 15 degrees cooler than outside. |
